PROGETTO CRE@CTIVE

CRE@CTIVE PROJECT

Interview with Mattia Piazza, art director of Casa Preti, a Palermo-based reality winner of the CRE@CTIVE call dedicated to creatives capable of bringing innovation to the textile sector:

I have always tried to give shape to content, and I chose fashion as a means to express a plurality of concepts. - Mattia tells us - With our brand "Casa Preti" we try to give voice to multiple social categories, including the theme of genderlessness and the theme of sustainability, which are for us the basis of the philosophical reasoning and design of our collections. I believe that plurality has value, and Casa Preti is a hotbed of ideas capable of giving space to this complexity. In this sense, the project gives us access to additional skills that the company would otherwise lack: in this sense, the accompaniment and mentoring path we will have access to within the Make-L@B managed by the Arca Consortium, and access to a transnational network guaranteed by CRE@CTIVE, will be fundamental. Teaming up, and supporting each other, especially in Southern countries, is important and challenging. I know for a fact that this project will lead us toward a decisive breakthrough.”

CRE@CTIVE project is funded by the ENI CBC MED Programme aiming at fostering value chains and business alliances among MSMEs in Mediterranean textile, footwear and leather sectors in order to encourage the creation of new products and business growth, by building bridges between these sectors and the creative industry.
